Portrait Drawing Commissions

Joseph Pfeiffer-Herbert is a classically trained artist and instructor at the Academy of Realist Art in Boston. Joseph's style focuses on realism while trying to capture the beauty and personality of each sitter using subtle modeling and a dramatic combination light and dark values.

Mr. Pfeiffer-Herbert works from a combination of sittings and from photographs. The first sessions are collaborative with the client, as elements such as setting, wardrobe, and light are discussed to bring out the best in the subject.
