    About the Artist

Self

Joseph was born in Olympia, WA in 1981. He is currently pursuing his dream of becoming a professional artist while attending the Academy of Realist Art in Boston, Massachusetts. The first influential artist in Joseph's life, his college art instructor, once said “The human figure is the most complex subject to draw or paint. If you can draw the figure, you can draw anything.”

These words have created the foundation for Joseph's art career, while he attends an Atelier in Massachusetts where he continually refines his work to realistically depict the human figure. Someday, Joseph hopes to focus on portraiture while teaching students of his own in the Classical Realist tradition.
